Fori 01 Introduction
Fori Food Delivery ("Fori", "we", "us", or "our") operates a mobile application that connects customers with restaurants, grocery sellers, and homemade food providers for local delivery. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to the practices described here.
02 Data we collect
We collect the information needed to create your account, process orders, and provide support:
- Account details: name, email address, and phone number
- Delivery information: saved addresses and delivery instructions
- Profile image, if you choose to upload one
- Order history, including items ordered, order status, and order value
- Support requests and account deletion requests, including any reason you provide
- Basic device information (device type, OS version, app version) used for crash reporting and compatibility
03 How we use your data
Your data is used to operate the core functions of the app, including:
- Creating and authenticating your account
- Managing your profile and saved addresses
- Processing cart checkout and delivering your orders
- Responding to support requests and account deletion requests
- Sending order-related and account notifications
- Reviewing activity for fraud prevention and platform safety
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
04 Firebase & third-party services
Fori is built on Google Firebase. We use Firebase Authentication to manage sign-in, Cloud Firestore to store order and account data, and Firebase Storage to host uploaded images and app content. Firebase may also process technical data (such as crash logs) to help us keep the app stable. Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's own privacy terms in addition to this policy.
05 Camera & gallery access
The app requests camera or photo gallery access only when you choose to upload or update your profile image. We do not access your camera or photos at any other time, and images are only uploaded when you actively select them.
06 Location
The current version of the app does not request live/background location permission. Delivery addresses are entered manually by you and used solely to route your order to sellers, admin, and riders.
07 Notifications
We use push notifications to share order status updates and important account messages. You can turn notifications on or off at any time from your Profile settings; this will not affect your ability to place or track orders inside the app.
08 Data sharing
We share order details (such as your name, delivery address, and order contents) with the seller and rider assigned to fulfill that specific order — this is necessary to complete delivery. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.
09 Data retention
We retain account and order data for as long as your account remains active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution requirements. When you request account deletion, we remove or anonymize your personal data once the request is reviewed and any required retention period has passed.
10 Account deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time from Profile > Delete Account Request in the app, or via the request form on our About & Support page. Requests are reviewed by our admin team, and you may be contacted for verification before your data is removed, in line with legal and operational requirements.
11 Children's privacy
Fori is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.
12 Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and where appropriate, we'll notify you in-app.
